Nicholas Shaheen , MD

Nicholas C. Shaheen, MD, is a radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2022. 

Dr. Shaheen completed his neuroradiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at Aultman/Mercy/NEOMED Radiology in Canton, Ohio, and preliminary medicine residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital – OhioHealth in Columbus. Dr. Shaheen was presented with the Society of Interventional Radiology Resident In-Training Scholarship and the Radiological Society of North America Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award. 

Dr. Shaheen earned his Doctor of Medicine at the American University of Antigua College of Medicine in New York City where he graduated cum laude. He received his Bachelor of Science from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.

Dr. Shaheen is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American College of Neuroradiology, and the Society of Interventional Radiology, and holds medical licenses to practice in South Carolina, Florida, and Ohio.

Dr. Shaheen shares the same birthplace as former college basketball coach Bobby Knight, Massillon Community Hospital, where all legends are born. His last name translated from Urdu to English means “Falcon,” which is his nickname. Dr. Shaheen is a man of many hobbies: boating, drumming, golfing, and spending time with his fiancée Samantha; and of many pets: his dog Bailey, his cats Leo and Jasmine, and his turtle Oliver. His top travel destination is Italy, and his football team is the Cleveland Browns.
