Joshua Macatol, MD

Joshua N. Macatol, MD, is a musculoskeletal radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2009. 

Dr. Macatol completed his musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the University of Michigan Hospital. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI, where he was Chief Resident and voted Resident of the Year. 

Dr. Macatol earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he co-founded the Radiology Interest Group. He received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in chemistry at Wake Forest University where he graduated cum laude and was a member of Alpha Epsilon Delta and the Psychology National Honor Society.

Dr. Macatol holds medical licenses to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Michigan.  

Dr. Macatol has dreamed of being a physician since he was a child. He enjoys spending time with his wife Alesya, their two daughters 13-year-old Maribelle and 10-year-old Dorothy Lee, and their two springerdoodles Rowena and Severus. He is a Buckeye fan, golfer, tennis player, shark teeth hunter, and an admirer of Vermont as his top travel destination.
