David Cosper, MD

David Shaun Cosper, MD, is a radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2017. 

Prior to Imaging Specialists, Dr. Cosper was a radiologist at Proscan Imaging in Cincinnati, OH, where he also completed his MRI fellowship in 2013 with a particular focus on sports injuries. He fulfilled his diagnostic radiology residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA. Dr. Cosper was a preliminary surgery intern at the University of Alabama Birmingham. 

Dr. Cosper earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and German from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, where he graduated cum laude with Honors and was a member of honor societies Delta Phi Alpha, Golden Key, and Alpha Lambda Delta. Dr. Cosper is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. 

Dr. Cosper was born in the small town of Cullman, AL, and has wanted to be a doctor ever since he came home and told his mom one day after third grade. He proceeded to make his family proud, becoming the first person from both sides to attend college. Dr. Cosper enjoys camping, rafting, and hiking at national parks in Colorado and Utah with his wife Mallory, their son Baring and their Goldendoodle Delilah. He enjoys cheering on his alma mater, the University of Alabama, during football season and has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and local animal shelters.
