Brian Mahon, MD

Brian Henry Mahon, MD, is a radiologist at Imaging Specialists of Charleston, LLC. He joined the practice in 2019.

Dr. Mahon completed his fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital in Galveston, TX. He was a resident physician in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Rochester General Hospital in New York from 2015 – 2018, and at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia from 2014 – 2015. Dr. Mahon served as a general surgery intern at the University of Virginia Health Systems Hospital.

Dr. Mahon earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. He received his Bachelor of Science in Science Preprofessional Studies from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a four-time Dean’s List member and a four-year monogram winner for the Division-I Varsity Track & Field Team, Event: Pole Vault.

Dr. Mahon actually achieved his childhood dream of becoming a doctor when he grew up! He and his beloved 7-year-old hound mix Dixie root for his alma mater, the Fighting Irish, during football season when they aren’t raising awareness about pet adoption and breast cancer. Dr. Mahon was born in Manhassett, NY, plays ice hockey and suggests we visit his top travel destination, Yosemite.
